Which GCSE exam boards does DoRevision support?

Full revision coverage is live for AQA, CCEA and Edexcel, across 94 GCSE subjects and 2,105 interactive modules. Every module is written against that board's published specification, because the same subject is examined differently by different boards.

How do 15-minute revision sprints work for GCSE preparation?

A sprint is one revision module you can finish in a single sitting, usually around 15 minutes. It interleaves short teaching cards with questions you have to answer, so you are recalling material rather than rereading it, which is what makes revision stick. Every answer is marked on our side and comes back with feedback explaining the mark, not just a tick or a cross. Your progress, streak and XP save as you go, so a spare 15 minutes on the bus is a real piece of revision rather than a false start.

Is DoRevision free?

Yes. Creating an account and revising is free, and the past-paper archive works without an account at all. There is no card, no trial and no paywall on the revision modules.

Is this just multiple-choice quizzes?

No, and that is the point. Modules mix question types on purpose: filling gaps, ordering steps, matching pairs, labelling diagrams, building sentences, annotating a passage, plotting a graph and working through scenarios. Answers are always checked on the server, so the correct answer is never sitting in the page waiting to be found.

How do I know a module matches my specification?

Every module is attached to a specific specification, for example AQA GCSE Computer Science 8525, and to the topics inside it. You pick your board and qualification first, so what you see is the version of the subject your exam actually assesses.

Can teachers use DoRevision with a class?

Yes, and without setting anything up. Teachers can group modules into a collection and share one link, so a class opens it from a board, a projector or a homework email. There are free planning tools, printable sheets and subject guides in the teacher area, and student ratings and teacher ratings are shown separately so you can see what colleagues make of a module rather than only what students enjoyed.

Do I need to install anything, and does it work on a phone?

No install. It runs in the browser on a phone, tablet, laptop or an interactive whiteboard, and the interactions are built tap-first rather than drag-first so they work properly on a small touchscreen.

Where do past papers fit in?

The past-paper archive is free and needs no login: question papers, mark schemes and examiner reports, filtered by board, subject, year and tier. Use the papers to find out what you cannot do yet, then use the modules to fix it.
