These terms are the agreement between you and DoRevision ("we", "us", "our") for using the website at dorevision.com and everything on it. By using DoRevision you agree to them. They are written to be readable rather than exhaustive, and nothing in them takes away rights that UK consumer law gives you.
1. What DoRevision is
DoRevision is a free revision platform. It offers interactive revision modules matched to published UK exam-board specifications, links to official past papers, teacher guides and tools, and optional social features such as friends, public profiles and a leaderboard. It is funded by advertising rather than subscriptions, and there is nothing to buy.
DoRevision is an independent service. It is not endorsed by, affiliated with or approved by AQA, Pearson Edexcel, OCR, WJEC, Eduqas, SQA, CCEA or any other exam board. Specification names and codes are used only to describe which syllabus our content follows.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 13, a parent or carer must contact us first.
- Give us accurate details and keep them up to date. Use your own name, not someone else's.
- You are responsible for keeping your password private and for everything done through your account. Tell us straight away at [email protected] if you think someone else has used it.
- Choose the role that fits you. Teacher accounts are for people who teach or support students in a school, college or similar setting. Teacher ratings are shown to other users as a trust signal, so please only rate as a teacher if you are one.
- One account per person. Do not create accounts to boost your own points, spam invites or game the leaderboard.
- You can delete your account at any time from your settings. See the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data when you do.
3. Using DoRevision fairly
Please do not:
- Upload, post or share anything unlawful, abusive, discriminatory, sexual, threatening or otherwise harmful, including in usernames, profile details, collection names or reports.
- Harass, bully or impersonate other users, or attempt to identify or contact a student outside the site without their consent.
- Try to break into accounts, probe or overload our systems, bypass security, or interfere with adverts.
- Scrape, copy, mirror or bulk-download our content or data, or use automated tools to access the site, except for search engines indexing public pages.
- Use DoRevision in any way that breaks the law or someone else's rights.
We can remove content, suspend or delete accounts, and withhold points or trophies where we reasonably believe these terms have been broken. We will normally tell you why, and you can appeal by email.
4. Our content and your content
Our content. The revision modules, guides, artwork, code and everything else we create are owned by DoRevision or our licensors and are protected by copyright. You may use them for your own revision, teaching or study, including printing them for a class. You may not sell them, republish them or present them as your own.
Exam-board material. Specifications, past papers, mark schemes and examiner reports belong to the exam boards that publish them. We link to official copies and describe their contents; we do not claim any rights over them. Use them in line with the relevant board's own terms.
Your content. Anything you add, such as a username, profile details, collections, ratings, reports or feedback, stays yours. You give us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display and use it to run and improve DoRevision, including showing public profiles and shared collections to other users for as long as you keep them public. You confirm you have the right to share whatever you add.
5. Profiles, friends and sharing
Profiles are private unless you make them public. A public profile, leaderboard entry or shared collection can be seen by anyone, including people you do not know and search engines, so think carefully about what you include. You can make it private again at any time. Friend links are mutual and either person can remove them.
6. Advertising
DoRevision shows adverts supplied by Google AdSense and other third-party networks. We do not choose individual adverts and we are not responsible for advertisers' products, services, websites or how they handle your data. Any purchase or relationship with an advertiser is between you and them. Details of the cookies involved are in our Cookie Policy.
7. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep DoRevision accurate, up to date and available, but it is provided "as is". We may change, pause or withdraw features, modules or the whole service at any time, and we may take the site offline for maintenance. We will try to give notice of major changes. Content follows published specifications, but exam boards change them and we can make mistakes, so always check the official specification and your teacher's guidance. Using DoRevision does not guarantee any grade or result.
8. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
Otherwise, because DoRevision is free, we are not liable to you for any loss or damage that arises from using it or being unable to use it, including loss of data, loss of progress, inaccurate content or exam outcomes, except where that loss was caused by our failure to take reasonable care. If you are a consumer, you keep all the statutory rights that UK law gives you.

How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which form part of these terms.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change significantly affects your rights, we will tell account holders by email or with a notice on the site before it takes effect. Continuing to use DoRevision after a change means you accept the new terms.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring a claim in your local courts, and you keep any protection that your local consumer law provides. If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
