Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work at all; others help us understand how it is used or let advertising partners show relevant adverts. This page lists every cookie and similar technology DoRevision uses and explains how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. Essential cookies
These are set by DoRevision itself and are needed to keep you logged in and to keep forms secure. They do not track you across other websites, and the site cannot work without them, so they are set on every visit.

We also store your light or dark appearance preference in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device.
2. Bot protection
Sign-up, login and password-reset forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks
that a person rather than an automated script is submitting the form. Turnstile may set a cookie on the
cloudflare.com domain and receives technical information about your browser and connection to
make that decision. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.
3. Analytics (no cookies)
We use Plausible Analytics to count page views. Plausible does not use cookies, does not store IP addresses and cannot identify individual visitors. Our own page-view and search records use a one-way hashed session fingerprint rather than anything that identifies you. Because none of this uses cookies or tracks you across sites, no consent is required.
4. Advertising cookies (Google AdSense and third parties)
DoRevision is free and shows adverts on some pages through Google AdSense. When an advert
is shown, Google and the advertising partners it works with may set cookies on their own domains
(for example google.com, doubleclick.net and googlesyndication.com).
These are third-party cookies: we do not create them and cannot read them.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use these cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to DoRevision and to other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and other sites on the internet. Where you have not consented to personalised advertising, or where Google identifies you as under 18, adverts are non-personalised and are chosen only from the page you are viewing and your approximate location.

5. How to control cookies
- Personalised adverts: opt out at Google Ads Settings. You can opt out of other vendors' personalised advertising through youronlinechoices.com or aboutads.info. You will still see adverts, but they will not be based on your browsing.
- Browser settings: every modern browser lets you block or delete cookies, and block third-party cookies specifically. Guides: Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.
- Blocking third-party cookies stops advertising cookies without affecting DoRevision. Blocking all cookies will stop you logging in.
- Google's browser add-on: the ad personalisation opt-out extension keeps your choice even after you clear cookies.
6. Changes
