Talking about fame
Celebrity culture is a popular topic in Spanish. To talk about it you need words for famous people and media jobs, and a way to compare one person with another. This module builds your Spanish vocabulary for fame and shows how to use the comparative to say who is more famous than who.
Fame words
Start with four useful words. Each Spanish word is shown with its English meaning.
Saying and comparing
You can say what someone is, and you can compare people, using full sentences.
Say why and compare
To reach a higher level, add a reason and a comparison. You can say Es famoso porque canta muy bien, which means he is famous because he sings very well. To compare, use mas que, as in Es mas popular que un actor, which means he is more popular than an actor. Using es with a comparison lets you build a fuller sentence.
