This module is about daily life: the times of day, the things you do, and the places you go. Italian uses the Latin alphabet, so you can read it already. Remember that every noun has a gender, shown by its article (il = masculine, la = feminine).

At the café and the market
When you describe a meal out or a trip to the market in Italian, start with what you can see. All of these words are on the Edexcel vocabulary list. At the café table: il caffè coffee, l'acqua water, la torta cake, il pane bread. On the market stall: la mela apple, la banana banana, il pomodoro tomato. And four more you will need: l'uovo egg, il latte milk, il pesce fish, il formaggio cheese.
