Watch the Polish ending change after it
The place words become sentences with jest (is) and the little word w (in). Watch what w does to the word after it: - Biblioteka jest w mieście = "the library is in the town". miasto (town) becomes mieście after w. That ending change is the locative case, which Polish uses to say where something is. - Mój dom jest duży = "my house is big". After jest the noun keeps its plain form. duży agrees with dom because dom is masculine; for a feminine noun you would say Biblioteka jest duża.
