In the speaking exam you answer questions about who you are and the people around you. This module is speaking practice: you learn the phrases to introduce yourself, to describe your family and friends, and to keep a short role-play going. Say the French out loud as you go.

Phrases to introduce yourself

These four phrases open almost any conversation about yourself. Learn them by heart.

Yourself or someone else?

The verb changes depending on who you talk about. Compare the two.

Complete the sentences

Join ideas with qui

Use qui, meaning who, to join two ideas and describe a person. Instead of two short sentences, say one: J'ai un ami qui est drôle, meaning I have a friend who is funny. It makes your speaking flow.
