These four phrases open almost any conversation about yourself. Learn them by heart.

Join ideas with der, die, das

Use der, die or das, meaning who or that, to join two ideas and describe a person. The word matches the gender: Ich habe einen Freund, der lustig ist, meaning I have a friend who is funny. It makes your speaking flow.
