In the speaking exam you answer questions about who you are and the people around you. This module is speaking practice: you learn the phrases to introduce yourself, to describe your family and friends, and to keep a short role-play going. Say the Spanish out loud as you go.
Phrases to introduce yourself
These four phrases open almost any conversation about yourself. Learn them by heart.

Yourself or someone else?
The verb changes depending on who you talk about. Compare the two.
Fill the gaps in the Spanish

Use ser to describe
To say who someone is or what they are like, use the verb ser. For example, es mi hermano means he is my brother, and es simpático means he is nice. Ser is used for identity, relationships and personality.
