Trennbare Verben
Some German verbs are separable. Learn these four:

- aufstehen
- einschlafen
- fernsehen

Die Regel
In a main clause, a separable verb splits: the prefix jumps to the end of the clause, while the stem stays in second position. So aufstehen becomes: Ich stehe um 7 Uhr auf. And fernsehen becomes: Ich sehe abends fern.
