The Prague Spring 🌱
Czechoslovakia was a communist satellite state. In 1968 its new leader, Alexander Dubcek, brought in reforms known as the Prague Spring: more freedom of speech, less censorship and more democracy. Brezhnev feared the changes would spread, so Warsaw Pact tanks invaded and crushed them.
