To say **to the** or **at the**, Greek uses **σε** joined to the article. The two words merge, and which form you get depends on the gender you already know: • masculine: σε + τον gives **στον** - πάω **στον σταθμό**, I am going to the station • feminine: σε + την gives **στην** - πάω **στην παραλία**, I am going to the beach • neuter: σε + το gives **στο** - είμαι **στο ξενοδοχείο**, I am at the hotel This is why learning the article with every noun pays off. Get the gender and the right form follows automatically.
