Talking about yourself in Italian
Italian uses the same Latin alphabet as English, so you can already read it. Two things are new: some vowels take a written accent (like è = is), and every noun has a gender. Nouns are either masculine (the word for "the" is il) or feminine (the word for "the" is la). You learn each word with its article.
