How to use these papers
Before you start. Read the whole paper first and find the questions that ask you to produce language rather than recognise it. Those carry the marks, and they are the ones worth timing.
While you work. Write the answer you can spell and conjugate, not the one you would say in English. A simpler sentence that is accurate beats an ambitious one that is not.
Marking it afterwards. Mark schemes for translation and writing list the specific features that earn each band. Read those bands before you read your own answer, then decide honestly which one you are in.
Warm up first. Listening Practice: Comprehension: Media and Technology is the shortest activity here, so it is the quickest way back into German before you open a paper.
